This delicate pendant is from Venice. It’s hand-blown Murano Glass and a gift from my daughter who recently traveled to Italy on a school trip. She knows I like artisan jewelry and chose it with that in mind.

The design is called millefiori, meaning “a thousand flowers”. Each piece is unique and the colors are rich and bright. I wear it with a smile. Artisans on Murano Island near Venice have been using this technique to make beautiful jewelry and glassware since 1291.

In addition to the beauty of the pendant itself, the letter ‘B’ has meaning. It’s the first letter in the names of my Dad, one of my best friends and that of our family dog of fifteen years. I miss them all but the love and memories are endless.

Best,

Kim
